No Hiking on Fossil Springs Trail for the Summer.

Due to damage done over the past year to Fossil Creek Road, an access road used by emergency responders, the Fossil Springs Trail will be closed July 1 through August 31. One of the most popular trails in Arizona attracts a great number of visitors to take in views of the water and rock formations. Along with the hikers, comes injuries and heat-related illnesses, which is why the Tonto National Forest says the closure is necessary.
